Bjarni Herrera: A sustainability and sustainable finance expert and author
Bjarni Herrera's diverse and international career lies in senior management and leadership positions in banking, finance, and professional services. His Nordic upbringing, Latin American heritage, and living in Asia and the US have helped him see things from unique perspectives.
Bjarni served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Arion Bank when it restructured in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, was the CEO and co-founder of a sustainability and sustainable finance consulting firm acquired by KPMG, where he served as Head of Sustainability, and was COO of CICERO Shades of Green when acquired by S&P Global where he managed its integration.
He is now the CEO of Accrona, a sustainable finance service provider, and Post50 Ventures. Bjarni is a practitioner, leader, listener, advisor, talent developer, and now an author. He enjoys long walks in nature, skiing, reading, good company, and immersing himself in new cultures. This book represents his willingness and dedication to learning more, sharing, and contributing to designing a sustainable future.
