Bjarni Herrera: A sustainability and sustainable finance expert and author
Bjarni Herrera's diverse and international career lies in senior management and leadership positions in banking, finance, and professional services. His unique perspectives blend a Nordic upbringing, Latin American heritage, and experience living in Asia and the US.
Bjarni served as the Secretary of the Board of Arion Bank when it restructured after the 2008 financial crisis. He was the CEO and co-founder of a sustainability and sustainable finance consulting firm acquired by KPMG, where he then served as the Head of Sustainability. He was then hired as the COO of CICERO Shades of Green, and when acquired by S&P Global, he managed its integration.
Bjarni is now the CEO of Accrona, a sustainable finance service provider, and Post50 Ventures. He is a practitioner, leader, listener, advisor, talent developer, and now an author.

Bjarni Herrera celebrated the publication of his first book Supercharging Sustainability. The invitation was held at the Bistro at Elliðaárstöð. Bjarni is the founder and CEO of Accrona, which provides services in the field of sustainability and sustainable finance worldwide. He is also the owner of Post50, which invests in sustainability-related projects and companies and helps founders with financing and scaling abroad.
